if you want a DPS priest set, go for the AQ40 stuff.... for progress in instances I'm pretty sure priests will need the healing power and hence it makes more sense to give us decent healing gear :)
Won't know for sure until we've seen the full sets, but I really don't think upgrading from T2 to T3 will increase +healing that much. Transcendence already has plenty of healing power. What it lacks though, is stats and mana regen. I'd really like to see new items with both high spirit AND +healing. And maybe some +dmg

It will always be this way, the "tier x" set will be geared towards the main role for that class. But then bosses don't only drop set items do they ;P. It's the stats on a set that make them good, not a set bonus imo. Bonuses are akin to racial abilitys, nice every now and again but not something you need to rely on.

1. A HYBRID DOES NOT HAVE A MAIN ROLE.

2. What look would you want?

3. Compare a set of random dropped leather heal gear with the Stormrage set. I am pretty confident Stormrage will win.

It's pretty obvious that blizzard think you do have a main role, look at the stats on your last two (and now tier 3) sets. You can ofcourse find gear just as easily for feral or balance however, as proved by the way these roles are being successfully carried out by our druids.

Tier 1 and Tier 2 were released before they fixed the Balance and Feral tree. BWL was relesed before the fix, thus has little feral/moonkin gear. Dragons were released AFTER the Druid patch and they have some nifty Feral/Balance items to boot.
AQ40 speaks for itself and I didn't expect Naxx to be different, since that would take a step back from AQ and Dragons.

Yeah the dragons do have some nifty non set items like I said. If you look at the AQ sets your right they do (for most classes) seem pretty geared towards a different play style, i.e conquerors seems more dps like etc. Then again AQ set was only 2.5 and is like an aside. They seem to have returned to normal with this tier 3 set.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "zomg get out of cat form and heal" because I know and fully appreciate the benefits of having so many druids doing different things within the raid group. What I am saying is if you want to go to that different play style then, yes there adequate gear out there for that. Just don't tell me you expected tier 3 to be an all out leather tanking set, 'cos it wasn't happen. If they did make the set's more hybrid you would just complain as you wouldnt have as specialsed stats in any of your sets and would end up being able to do a little bit of everything but none of it as well as it could be done.

Token System-->Choice to get Healing/Tanking/DPS/Balance set to much to ask for?

That's true for every class but Rogues, Mages, Warlocks and Hunters since they can only DPS.

That's a nice idea. Maybe also something can be worked out in the token system, so that you can choose between Enchants which do not only have different stats/equip/use bonuses, but also different/modifiable set bonuses. So you can steer towards a Resto druid, and if you respec Feral, and invest some tokens, you can swap it for a different enchant.
I know, almost sounds like Jewels..... :?

Actually now you said it I remember something about being able to specialise your set towards what sort of way you want to play :X. Can't remember where I read that though.

Read that too yeah, but still, if I see the paladin set, you might be able to specialise it a bit, but its such a pure healing set that unless these specialisation thingies are horribly OP, it will still be a healing set.

Did that make sense? :O

Anyways, I'm happy with the pala set since healing is our only non-borked roll :)

Adequate isn't good enough, when resto spec get uber. ;)

Also, while there is a bit of gear a feral can get, almost something for every slot (I'm not counting dragon pants for pant slot, as it's really really hard to get), balance still needs better itemization. They're even worse off then ferals are.

SotG Forums[/url]]Set Items

Translation of the patch notes from the WoW China site has stated that 8-pc class sets are available in Naxxramus. On top of that, those sets will be specialized via choosing a "path" that you want. What this means is that you will have Tier3 sets being specialized to your template -- shadow priest, feral druid, combat rogue, fury warrior, etc. You can finally get a set that plays to your talents strengths.

(Though, that post says 8piece, while everyone know theres 9, so I am a bit sceptical atm)

That sounds too good to be true.

The only thing I can see as being missing from the feral items obtainable from BWL/AQ/Dragons is a set bonus.

What I would like, is another set of non-set epic pants. The Dark Heart Pants from Lethon isn't very obtainable. :\

the paladin tier3 is a real anticlimax imo.

It's just a "better lawbringer". it should've taken the lead from judgement and be +damage and healing as opposed to just +healing. especially coming from an undead orientated instance where Paladins could emerge as a viable DPS class.

fo' shame
