Magnae Mammae is a mythic raiding guild. We have stood the test of time, starting raiding in 'the good old days' of March 2005. If you are looking for a stable raiding guild aiming to clear mythic content we are the guild for you.

We are mainly looking for classes/specs listed here, but good applications of those we are not actively recruiting will be still considered.

    Raiding Philosophy

In short, ‘we don’t do tactics’. Well, that is, standard ones. First off, we DO NOT want our raiders to read up on a boss before we approach it. On a new boss, we go by the dungeon journal and knowing our class: we discuss the abilities and come up with an approach we will try via TS and raid chat, then have a go. If it does not work, we change it around. Then, if we do not kill it, we will dicuss different strategies on our forum. It is that simple. You might say, surely that cannot be the fastest way to killing a new boss. You are most probably right. Soooooooooo, why do we do it? To sum it up, it is more challenging and more fun. Not to mention that a specific strategy might be better for a certain raid composition and not viable for others.

    Raid Times (ST):

    Wednesday: 20:00 – 23:00
    Thursday: 20:00 – 23:00
    Sunday: 20:00 – 23:00

    Other Optional Activities (ST):

    Monday - RGBs: 20:30 - 23:00
    Saturday - Alt/social run: 20:00 – 23:00

    Our expectations and requirements:

We value attendance, performance and attitude very highly and these are the key qualities we will be looking at throughout your trial period.

It is very important to us that you are able to attend the 3 main raids each week, so that we can progress effectively and evaluate trials properly. Obviously real life comes first, but we expect you to notify us asap and if you know you will consistently miss a particular raid day, you should not apply. It is also important that you are prepared and ready for invites 15 minutes before the raid so we can start promptly.

Since we are pushing to do the hardest content in the game at a reasonable pace, you will be required to perform to a certain standard, this means you need to be able to listen to the raid leader, execute our tactics correctly and output the dps/hps we need for that fight. Raiders are be required to reach a 50% ranking on average for their gear level (this is a guide level and does not apply to farm). While we do not want to encourage padding or ignoring tactics (which will certainly fail your trial), we do want to ensure that you understand your class/role to a high level and therefore can perform well.

We strive to do the best we can and therefore it is important you share our passion, this means outside of raids we expect you to be doing content to increase your performance, which could involve doing your weekly M+ or set levels of AP/legendary farming. We also expect you to read up on your class/role outside of raids. Any fights that you have missed the progress for, you will be expected to catch up on the tactics by talking to someone that was there, reading up the threads for bosses on our forums. Doing these will help you to perform at a level you are proud of and that we want on our team.

Teamspeak is used and required for our raids, and you will need to be able to understand English.

    Application and Trial

You will find more details regarding our application process under the recruitment section, however, here is a short summary:
    • we now have an application form, which you can either post here or PM an officer
    • if accepted, our trial typical lasts 4 weeks
    • during your trial, you will have full raiders’ responsibilities AND rights

    Points of Contact

If you would like to chat to an officer or have any questions that our site has not answered, please contact Smaj, via a pm on this forum or bnet Smaj#2700. However, please avoid trying to contact us during raid times.
