since it's summer break and I'm series-deprived, I thought I'd ask for help :D

I was wondering if peopel could recommend some cool new (or older) series to me, that I might've missed. I like stuff like Scrubs (early seasons), Arrested Development (<3), Heroes (though not a huge fan), Stargate, Two and a Half Men, 24, Joey etc.

Any ideas? Gotta be some funky new stuff out that I missed! lol

meant to add that to the initial post, anything that's remotely like House is extremely welcome :D

NCIS' Mark Harmon has some of House in him, if you're into CSI-ish shows.

I lost interest in Lost after season 1, though I held out halfway through season 2 as well. Season 1 was one giant "huge things are in the making", and the interesting stuff just never came.

Gonna look into Prison Break :)

Felt exactly the same about Lost, I dropped out for months during season 2, then I decided to give it another go, and season 3 just blew me away, so definitely worth to try it once more!

Prison break...season 1 is just one long thrilling movie, with an awesome plot, season 2 is OK, but at least watch season 1, if you liked Shawshank Redemption (and who didn't?), you'll love this as well.

I don't have a TV.

Basically all news I get is from recent porn movie scenes where there is a TV or newspaper lying around that you can read if you try real hard :(

new battle star galactica is descent. it goes up and down tho, the pilot and the first two episodes are great however (and olmos is super throughout the series :p ).
Rome is another good one, lots of nudity and violence like we all want it.
Old prison series "Oz" is brilliant as well if you have missed it.

Die Hard 1,2,3 and 4 on one evening should work.

I don't watch tv

Followed Oz a while, pretty fun, Rome get's a bit out of control after season 1 imho.

Deadwood is good too, if you're into westerns. And even if you're not :p

I just finished watching Twin Peaks yet again. That is still my all time favourite series by far.

Oz was great as well. Worth looking into if you missed it. Also, did anyone see Carnivale? Only lasted for two short seasons but was another quality HBO show.

Other than that, as far as newer stuff goes, watching pretty much the same stuff as all the others it seems. Lost and PB. (Getting a bit bored of those though.) House MD is just brilliant and I'm not even into hospital series, just watch it for Hugh Laurie.

Also been watching Entourage, which is like Sex and the City for men but nowhere near as good. Still an ok series I guess.

Carnivale was great, never finished season 2 though, since I was told it would cliffhang at the end and never get an ending. Kinda like removing the last two chapters of a book :S

Oh and try looking up Band of Brothers, only 13 or so episodes, but definately one of my favorites.

Didnt mention Twin Peaks since I took for granted everyone has already watched it, but I agree with nat. best. series. ever.
My 2nd favourite is a swedish/danish mini series Called "Riket" or The Kingdom in english. Its like a mix of horror/drama with some hilarious stuff thrown in. Some might be put of by the fact it's not english/american, but this is pure quality. Im telling you to watch this. Simply amazing stuff! :D
