Last I saw was Generation Kill, short series about some american soldiers at the start of the Iraq war, was very good imo.
Oz, started back in 2001 or something (5 seasons), about Oswald state, was also decent.

Am yet to see Lost Room, but heard nothing but good things about it, saving it for the next time I'm off work ^^

I finished "Eastbound and Down" a month ago or so and enjoyed every minute of it. It's a short series so it won't take you too long to watch through, but it's filled with great, funny/hilarious moments.

The first episode of V was really good (the long one). Really thought through and clever, even really realistic in some ways.
I would suggest to watch it, but from the trailer it seems they are doing the same thing again. So maybe better to wait and watch the new one. But still, the old one is really good.

I noticed the other day that they were remaking this, I remember the old V, I also remember it terrifying me! But I was only young then
