Right, since my PC is fried, I'm probably in the market for a new case.
Can anyone recommend a case that's

a) stylish (I like cases such as this one and Macs, not spaceship designs with windows and UV cables. Clean lines, nothing flashy except maybe high gloss black plx.)

b) Silent - should have some kind of sound damping concept.

and

c) affordable?

If such a case exists, let me know :p

is mine. It isn't too loud either (you won't hear it over gaming sounds or anything), plus it looks cool and is easy to open (it also comes with 3 already installed fans).
I did remove the green light tho cus it was annoying me during nights. :p

And yeah, I know your taste is different in case, but I just didn't give a damn. :hi:

I like this one cos it's pretty, but well.... That's basically how I decide if something is good or not. Is it pretty and does it cost a lot?

It is pwetty :D
+
"Special Features Sound-deadening side and top panels reduce noise
Integrated cable organizers
Built-in washable air filter"

looks like a winner to me.

ye Joy, they look awesome (I linked the Lian Li V1200 in my post, which is my favorite), but they're more than twice as expensive as the one Laf linked, and don't really offer anything in terms of noise reduction :(

Huh? They Lian Li cases get designed for noise reduction, mine has lotsa soft padding on the inside  It's very quiet.

think I'm going with this one (haven't decided on black/white yet):
http://www.3rsys.com/english/products/v .... idx_num=68

a Toms Hardware review places it as the quietest of all the midi towers they tested, although their method "insert silent PSU and test noise of built-in fans, with no components whatsoever" is somewhat retarded.

Still, it's (imo) very good-looking, well-designed, can't be too loud, and it's a freaking 40 euros.

I like this one even more, it's a variation that comes with a remote control and some subtle prints on the case, but I can't find it anywhere in Germany. If you find any European online store that stocks it, let me know :D

Get the black one, because:

In Black: Motherfucking Technology Monolith.
In White: Fridge.
