to follow up on my own question, I wrote a small program that changes your desktop background to a random one on Windows start up. One of the nicest pages I've found for background pics is InterfaceLift, mostly has highres-landscape-pictures-for-fantasy-geeks, but hey, I'm squarely in that target group
Incidentally, does anyone know of a simple WinXP program that chooses a random picture as your background every startup? (or every 2-3 hours, anything like that). I can't make up my mind!
