Because in the rush to point out the error of my ways in looking at too many forums (why didn't I think of that?), you missed the actual suggestion.

why not put raid notes on the signup page for that raid? Everyone already looks at that page anyway to see if they are confirmed.

The GDKP comment was an observation, suggesting why people are likely to miss it.
