Probably saw something about it if you keep track of pvp a bit, the exhibition match between Nihilum (best world pve guild) and Millenium (one of the best 5 man pvp teams, but more important the best french team around) as a kick off for the european finals in the season 1 arena world championships.
The game itself is far from interesting as Millenium winning all 5 games but the magnitude of WoW evolving as a E-Sport as shown here is quite amazing, seemed there were 3000 or so people watching the game on the spot and over 20.000 people live streaming it. Being a old Counterstrike player and having 2 top clanbase CoD players in the family never seen anything like this.
