Why are you applying to MM? How did you hear about us? Do you know anyone here?

I received an intriguing message from Smaj which motivated me to push for a trial .

Why are you leaving your current guild? If we were to look at your guild history, would we find anything concerning?

Raid progress was affected by the lack of motivated members so slowly the raiding halted and it became very boring to stick around. Plus, there was the fair share of guild drama so that was a huge factor in me moving on.

Raiding experience while current:
Uldir HC - 8/8
Uldir M - 2/8
Battle of Dazar’alor HC - 9/9
Battle of Dazar’alor M - 3/9

What is your main spec? How long have you played this?

My main spec is Retribution. I’ve played this spec since I started playing at the end of 2017 during the 7.3 Argus patch.

What is your stat priority? Explain why.

Strength is definitely the main stat as that’s just the overall raw damage boost so any upgrade to that significantly boosts my overall output.

The priority of my secondary stats is having a high critical strike as this directly influences the critical strike chance on melee attacks and primarily Templar’s Verdict for the main single target damage. I’ve chosen to focus on gear with critical strike in mind to give my attacks those big damaging impactful hits.

Haste is also very important as this effects the GCD, attack speed, the cooldown of the holy power generating abilities. Since I prefer critical strike over haste, I make up for the loss of haste via enchantments on my main hand weapon and my rings, along with some gem sockets. Also, certain azerite traits such as Relentless Inquisitor provide a haste buff for spending holy power stacking to 20 times which is up for almost the whole fight. Along with that is my main cooldown Crusade. This is an empowered version of Avenging Wrath which allows for huge gains of haste at 30 seconds uptime.

Having Mastery is important for increasing the damage of the holy power spenders and versatility overall gives damage, survivability and extra healing when needed.

Why should we bring your class/spec to a raid? What do you feel is the defining feature of your class/spec?

Retribution brings a plethora of helpful raids cooldowns from Blessing of Freedom for countering movement impairing abilities, Blessing of Protection to make the target immune to physical damage, Lay on Hands to provide a huge sum of healing etc. Alongside these abilities is Greater Blessing of Kings which gives a tank a quickly replenishing shield and Greater Blessing of Wisdom which replenishes mana.

Plus, they bring along huge burst potential for boss fights as well as high survivability through personal defensives such as Shield of Vengeance or the good old Divine Shield.

What addons do you use to enhance your performance?

Angry Assignments, DBM, Details, Simulation Craft, WeakAuras 2

Where do you find the latest information in relation to your class?

Bloodmallet, Hammer of Wrath Discord, IcyVeins, RaidBots, Raider.io, WoWHead, Warcraftlogs

What do you do outside of a raid to improve your character, play style and performance?

I get in contact with other retribution paladins (looking at you Ertaí) to hear their opinions on certain talent builds, specific strategies on bosses or just general knowledge of the spec. Watching Youtube guides to allow myself a better understanding of the spec.

Do you ever change around talents depending on the encounter? If so please, give an example.

For mythic + I change my talents around to suit the needs of certain affixes, such as Repentance allows me to incapacitate enemies that can troubling to fight with other enemies. Another example would be would be using Word of Glory to assist in healing allies.

As for raiding, maybe a couple talents are switched around, such as Zeal instead of Righteous Verdict for multi target bosses and Cavalier for the extra movement option on travel heavy bosses like Conclave of the Chosen.

What is your offspec? How comfortable would you be if we asked you to raid as your offpsec?

I off-spec Protection for some mythic + runs and in the off chance for raiding. I keep it geared up so if the opportunity ever arose then I wouldn’t mind using the spec.

We raid Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays 20:00-23:00 Server Time. Are you able to commit to these times and days?

Those days are perfect.

Can you accept criticism? If not then do not apply, we frown upon shifting blame a lot more than people admitting to mistakes and improving on it.

Criticism is the only way you’ll ever improve, already I’ve learned this through the raids I participated in on Wednesday and Thursday night. From that I’ve seen vast improvements in overall dps and uptime on buffs.

Do you have a mic? Do you have a proper setup and internet connection to play the game competitively? (that is, at least 30 and ideally more fps in raids)

Yes, I have a microphone. My internet connection is great it that allows me to play without interruptions and finally my computer can handle raids at a stable 60 fps.

We all need the occasional raiding day off for various reasons, but we expect these reasons so to be fully disclosed at as early a time as possible to make planning an easier process. Have you any planned absences in the foreseeable future that we should know about?

Not currently but if any do, I’d be quick to notify.

Do you have anything else to add?

Thank you for allowing me to participate in the two raids up until Mythic Mekkatorque, I had limited mythic raid knowledge (only being at Opulence) so being able to experience more than I’ve done was an amazing opportunity.
