Yeah, the encounter was nerfed in 1.9, which is why locks can be killed now.

I hear there was only 1 guild who managed before 1.9, seems they even wrote their own addons....

In 1.10 they will buff the warlock again. He will use the trinket from ST to summon a voidwalker at 1%. He will sacrifice it and drain life to 100% to become immortal.
