On Arena rewards/points

New season soon:

We are currently planning to end the first season and begin Arena Season 2 on June 13, 2007 to coincide with a small patch. Please be aware that this may change to a later date if the patch is not in fact ready by the 13th. We will keep everyone updated if this date does change; however, June 12 is the earliest date that the second season can be expected to begin.

After re-evaluating the arena season process and player feedback we will now be resetting all arena team ratings at the start of the new season. Players will still retain their arena points and teams with this reset. The team rating will simply be reset to the default 1500, allowing all teams to once again compete for top honour with a fresh start.

New arena weapons are included. All of the current items will see new versions for season 2, with some new additions.

The new honour rewards will be new versions of the epic items (boot, belt and bracer). A new back-slot item won't be added, but a new ring will be available.

The arena set items are always intended to match their equivalent tier sets in appearance to easily link them through visual recognition to their PvE counterparts.

Arena season 1 item cost reduction will be about 15%.

There are more healing-centric items planned for season 2.

Conlusion, don't spend points now, save them for a week or two, unless you're hitting your 5000 cap.

Hmm, earlier speculations I read said it would most likely just be another recolor of T4...But that kinda sounds like it'll look like T5 :<

07/06 Arena Season 2 delay

As we mentioned in our initial announcement of the second arena season, the start of the next season is planned to coincide with the release of a small patch. Due to additional development time and testing needed we will be delaying the scheduled release of the patch, and thus the start of Arena Season 2 by one week, until June 20, 2007. This current schedule is of course subject to change as well.

Also, don't forget that team ratings will be reset to the default 1500 with the start of the new season, allowing all teams to once again compete for top honors with a fresh start.
