hi m8s,

since 2.4 promises shorter queue times, I'm looking to reactivate my 2v2 team, Minimus Derrière, by teaming up with a frost mage, rogue or maybe warlock or a 2nd shadow priest. Note that I'm playing as PvP Shadow, not Disc.

I've got around 300 resi, 11k HP and 1000 spell damage in PvP gear and am looking for someone with a similar interest level in PvP on an alt or main. Meaning, I want to play games every week, more than 10 as long as it's fun, and I expect people to use at least blue gems and proper enchants on PvP gear, no green/ crappy blue gear etc. I do want to pull my weight though, so if you have 450 resi and 4/5 Season 3, I'm probably not your dream partner :p

As for game times, I'm flexible as long as it's weekends or evenings. 6pm - 1am mostly, on non-raid days.
I hope there's someone out there with similar interests :)

I was going to post a sarcastic reply about spriests in pvp, maybe something involving the suggestion of a prot warrior partner. Then I remembered that I play a Holy Paladin in 2v2. :(

Spriests are actually very viable with a rogue in 2v2, but they require a pretty atypical spec on both players to do well, and perfect coordination, but then you can have alot of fun owning war+healer combos....

it gets worse in 3v3 and 5v5 , and I don't want to pretend we're an amazing class/spec combo for arena, but it's not hopeless.

With a great rogue or frost mage we can reach 2k+ too, and Silence is quite nice. I played some games with Crono and we definitely didn't feel gimped, although that's in a large part due to Crono's skill and spec at the time, I admit :)

Also, ridicule aside, Nelf is very powerful for pvp sub-1900, as everyone (always) goes for me first.
By shadowmelding you can confuse your enemy to switch targets after engaging the partner, and if they actually decide to leave you alone (which they won't), shadowpriests can be very dangerous.

Against the melee onslaught at the start of a 2v2, I can use Elune's embrace, which gives me a total of 60% physical damage reduction for 15 secs, after which the match is mostly decided if you play a 2 dps 2v2 team. Finally, with Starshards I have one more instant cast DoT that I can't be locked out of if they CS shadow.

Sure, if you're very serious about PvP, don't team up with a shadow priest, but better a decently geared shadow priest than a blue geared alt MS warrior.

I hope :(

A well played BM Hunter can do very well with an spriest as well :) Seen a 2200 team i S3. Finding a good BM Hunter is another problem tho :p

Yeah, I was just teasing a bit. Shadow can work really well on quite a few double dps team set ups, and is certainly viable to play at respectable ratings. Mostly I was mocking myself.
