maybe they just shelved the whole idea of a legendary Ashbringer, and just made it epic?

Apparently, they think that the corrupted ashbringer will drop from mograine, and then theres a quest that you need to complete to 'purify' the sword. Heard some banter about wielding the sword makes the AD KoS.

yeah, heard that also.
in addition, the one equip "bonus" on it will make you put a DOT on people youre grouped with that does some pretty nast nature dmg.
