Fun bug for warlocks

Perma Doomguard

I have found the way of getting this to work!!

These are the steps for getting an enslaved demon to become permanent:

1) Enslave the demon you want to have become permanent (hopefully within five minutes of the Jadefire tricksters)

2) Fight the jadefire Tricksters, but let your enslaved demon keep the aggro. Use drain abilities (like Drain Soul) to keep yourself on the Trickster's list of things to attack.

3)The Jadefire Trickster WILL NOT cast Cause Insanity on your enslaved demon, for some unknown reason. He WILL cast Curse of Weakness and Curse of Tongues on either you or the enslaved demon, depending if your enslaved demon is casting spells or not.

4) If you're level 60, chances are you'll resist Cause Insanity. Make sure you DO NOT have any un-needed shadow resistance on you, or else it may take much longer to have Cause Insanity correctly on you.

5) While you are under the effects, hope you hit your enslaved demon with ANY damaging attack. DoTs, DD, anything. If you hit the enslaved demon with damage, after Cause Insanity wears off, try to dismiss your enslaved demon. It will most likely have no effect at all.

6) You can now run around and wait for the Enslaved effect on your enslaved demon to wear off, allowing to attack 30% faster than if he were enslaved, but he stays on your side!

7) The now-no-longer-enslaved minion you have at this point will stay with you NO MATTER WHAT. If you die, the demon will continue to fight the creature or player that killed you. This once-enslaved demon will NOT despawn from being out of sight. (WARNING! have not fully tested how far away one can run from the demon before it despawns) When you die, however, the demon WILL NOT despawn from being too far away.

8) You want to get a second pet out, you say? Well, you have to log out and log back in. The once-enslaved demon will most likely still be there, but not count as your pet slot.

WARNINGS:

1) You CAN NOT have more than two minions out, ever. Even if you try going down this list with another enslaved demon and do everything correctly, the second enslaved demon will NOT join your side.

2) You CAN NOT keep your half-enslaved demon if you decide to use a flightpath. (not fully tested, not recommended, however)

3) You CAN NOT zone with this demon. (not fully tested, but one can not go over to the Eastern Kingdoms. Instances and battlegrounds have not been tested yet)

4) The half-enslaved demon you have control over WILL NOT listen to any of the following pet commands: Stay, Passive, and Aggressive (or whatever it's called). The minion you enslaved will stay in the stance it was told when you log out when it was still in your pet slot. All activated abilities will also NOT be used if you told the demon to not use them before you logged off to get a second demon out.

5) The half-enslaved demon will stay at it's last point it was after you log out. It becomes free game to ANY players that want to attack it. By gathered data, the demon WILL NOT attack other players back, and the demon will seem to be aggressive to ALL players, allowing them to attack the demon with you not being there. The best guess when the demon is not there is that someone found it while you were logged out and killed it.

Things that have NOT been tested:

1) Whether the demon permanently disappears or not when the user logs out multiple times.

2) If flight paths really get rid of this demon.

3) If using the Hearthstone to a place on Kalimdor will despawn the demon.

4) Telling the half-enslaved demon (when it is still taking the pet slot) to stay and running as far away as possible will despawn it or not.

5) IMPORTANT! Testing to see if ANY type of Mind Control works, or if it's only Cause Insanity. The main importance is to make sure the Priest would know to attack the enslaved demon through using Mind Control on the warlock.
One must test Mind Control Caps, the Priest's Mind Control, other sources of Cause Insanity, among other possibilities.

EDIT: I find this glitch is useful for non-instance PvE and World PvP, meaning it has no real effect on any other players, nor does it truly give an advantage.
