The analysis of the legal specialist is that it is highly likely that third party addons to WoW will be extinct in the future, to be replaced by version from Blizzard themselves that need to be payed for (possibly on a monthly fee!).
Combine this with the fact that this goes against legal workings of LUA and copyright of the third party developers and the first signs of Blizz being taken over by Activision are starting to show.......
From a gameplay standpoint the Glider case is a good thing. From a legal standpoint it may just be the start of the downfall of the things that make this game so good
