the results of fact no 1 and fact no 2 are that the extended maintenance will be more extended that we all want it to be, and in the end the server will still be as shit xD.

We were scheduled in the second group to be upgraded, so this may just be them taking down part of our cluster/db/whatever and not actually our upgrade.

Hope it is though :)

We are, but the first group's already been upgraded, and the second group is due to be upgraded today (and tomorrow - there is also maintainance tomorrow), so it really should be the upgrades.

not really, they still need to upgrade the instance servers. Yesterday, it was so bad, that we had to move from BWL to AQ40, because we couldn't keep more then 75% of the raid online in BWL at any one point.
