Was bored some time ago, so spent some time setting up a private wow server (only accessible in LAN so don't bother asking for IP :p)

Anyways, got a few images from it on my photo gallery.

And yes, it's fun for exploration and pwnage of stuff, though boring cause of lack of mobs/npcs/loot/quests and players of course.

Always been curious about that. What do you need to do to set up a private server?

Well, check out:
http://www.mangosproject.org
for more info, all I did was register there and download a binary which I compiled on my own computer (there are pre-compiled versions, but they don't work as good). There is a guide on how to compile and how to install on the site. All found in the link below:
http://www.mangosproject.org/forum/inde .... topic=7606
Took me about 2 days to get it all functional and working properly on Linux, so prepare for loads of debugging and "banging your head in the wall"-ing.. :)

Horde should have invaded Stormwind and the cathedral when that wedding took place, would have been fun :D
