"So, it appears that there is a serious item bug involving the auto-stacking feature and relogging and/or porting into zones / taking shat or mage portals.
I'd be very very careful (and try to outright avoid) manipulating valuable resources until they patch this.
Essentially, it appears that if the auto-stacker moves items around for you, a trip through a portal will eventually reset the stack value to the value most recently *added* to the stack.
Thus, having 8 khorium bars, buying one khorium bar, having it auto-add to the 8 produces 9 in inventory. Then taking a mage portal to shattrath results in the stack value resetting to the value most recently added (1). Congrats, you now have 1 Khorium bar."
"We are aware of this item issue and are currently working toward a resolution. Please be aware that, until a fix is devised, the Game Master department will be unable to assist with the restoration of these missing items, as this may affect our ability to resolve the nature of the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; and, we appreciate your patience in the mean time. : )"
