Hey everyone,

I am looking for a great game to pass the time on business trips on my laptop. It has a 2 Ghz Intel dual-core which is decent enough, but only Intel integrated graphics.

Can anyone recommend some games that are a step-up from 5-minute web games like Peggle but don't require any serious 3D acceleration?

Great games I've played like that in the past are -
Torchlight
Spectromancer
Plants vs Zombies.

Doesn't have to be new :)

Thanks for any recommendations <3

Get a SNES / SEGA emulator + ROMS. Always good to play some oldschool games :)

Poking through my catalogue, I can suggest:

Machinarium point-and-click adventure type of game.
World of Goo lovely puzzle physics game.
Braid platform puzzler where you reverse time.
Darwinia very basic 3D, RTS game.
Uplink text-based hacking game. Not for everyone though.

Triple Triad!

Can you play that offline..?

Agree with that. Personally I'd add a Gameboy Advance one too. Plenty of classic games on that which can pass the time.

If there is a decent working version of a DS emulator that would be worth looking at.

gj Joy, I said "offline" in the title and then gave webgames as an example of what it shouldn't be :D

Too bad the world cup is old news already or I could've drawn some fantastic graphs such as this one:

Wait a little and then buy a 3DS and play Zelda on the move. That's what I would do, try and trip into a cryogenic freezer and wake up around the time it's released. (GUESS WHAT I STARTED WATCHING GUYZ)
