Google's own browser will be launching today, it wouldn't be google if it wasn't screaming "innovation" :D

Anyways, for those interested, don't miss out on this "comic" explaining some of the new technology: http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/

It's a bit technical sometimes, and long, so don't visit if you have the attention span of a drunk one-day fly (or are actually busy :p ).

Sounds great! At least most of it (cause i couldn't follow everything :shy: )
However, doesn't Google have it's own browser (Mozilla Firefox) already?
Is Chrome just the new technology that's gonna be applied on Firefox? Got a bit confused there....

Ehm, have you even checked out the "proof of concept"? It requires you to execute a downloaded file, if you're dumb enough to do that, they can carpet bomb you for all I care <_<

PS. I'm sure there's gonna be exploits, think it's quite impossible to make something bugfree, but I'm not counting this one :p

The point of the exploit (as far as I know) is that it saves a file to our desktop without permission. If the file is then executed (what's this on my desktop -- double click to find out, ooops) by the user, he gets exploited (and is dumb). I didn't try it though. If I go there in Firefox, I get asked for confirmation to download the file....

Yea I read that, but I don't get that either since the default download location is Documents/downloads or something :p (not entirely sure, since I changed it, but was definitely NOT My Desktop)

Oh wait..that's Vista only I guess ^_^

I'm not a fanboy, I'm an early adopter ><
