Correct, click their name in the cartel details, then do:

"Click here to request this player accept you as a trusted contact."

Type "hi" or something, and then the other player needs to accept you.

You have to do this on each of your chars, even if you want to trade between your own chars, this sucks a bit, but no other way. That "mass request contact" feature on the cartel page doesn't seem to work still.

Updated OP, it's especially important the drug income/outcome is a bit balanced. Hitting classes tend to use quite alot, so do bankers/salesmen. Although often hitting classes just steal the drugs and feed that to their hoes and soldiers <_<

you get an income from them which is dependant on their morale (which you increase by paying them better drugs), avoid them till later in the game unless you're a pimp, cos they're horribly expensive

Hoes are extremely good late-game especially, hence why they got nerfed 2 rounds ago, since Pimps were like 80% of the top10

Still good though, but early on focus on drugs ^
